So I'm home for a small bit. I got home last night around 9 pm and spent the day cleaning and relaxing. The leasing agency wanted to show my apartment this week and it was a horrible mess since I practically ran out of the house to go to St. Louis to be with my dad.
He's doing fine. He's just super bored! There is nothing to do up there and they keep putting off doing anything. They finally admitted that his surgery in November was botched somehow which is why he is still in pain. They are going to have have another surgery. He has been in the VA in St. Louis since Friday. They are moving him tonight to Saint Louis University so they can figure out what to do. I'm still not sure if they are going perform the surgery this week, next week or as outpatient surgery. I guess I should be glad they thought it best to move him to the University hospital. Nothing seem to happen at the VA and when it does, they always seem to screw him up even more.
I'll figure out in the morning if and when I need to go to STL.
Venus is happy to see me at least :)
Jono and I had a great time at his work party on Sunday. I will admit I drank a little too much :) Oops. I posted the pics on Facebook but will maybe post them on here at some point.
I ended up finishing Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro while at the VA. It was pretty darn good. I'll write about it on my book blog. I would suggest it to anyone who likes really weird ass books.
I also worked on an owl or two while I was there. I really need to get those guys done. Of course, I took everything I needed EXCEPT the stuffing for them. Doh! I'll make sure to pack it before I leave this time!
Also, my stupid computer is acting up by not wanting to stay plugged in! WTF!!! Bad computer!
I have been watching the first season of True Blood and all I can say is that show is freakin' addictive!!! So good!
I stayed with my great uncle Don and aunt Irene while I was in STL the other night. They have HDtv and it was amazing! It was like watching tv shows in 3D! I never knew what I was missing!! I really need to get some HDMI cables to hook my dvd player up to the tv. My tv has the ability! I need to use it!!
So one of dad's roommates (he has three) has control over the remote and all he does is keep it on TBS all day! We end up watching episode after episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, Yes Dear and House of Payne (I refuse to add the Tyler Perry because I think it's dumb to name everything after your own name - very high on yourself). Anyway, it's so boring! I wonder how many roomies he'll have at the university?
I'm going to leave you with that.
